The lakorn starts off with Tongkam who is preparing to go make merit at the temple. She calls for her daughters and Im enters the scene

Tongkam: It’s late and they still aren’t ready? Where are they?  Im (Jeab) where are you?
Im: Mother, I’m here.
Tongkam: What are you doing? What’s taking so long?
Im: I was folding lotus’s
Tongkam: Where is Oon (Pim) why isn’t she helping you?
Oon: Who says I’m not helping? I row the boat to go pick lotus’s for P’ Im since early morning. It’s really tiring. Bung Orn (Ann) woke up since the rooster started screaming to get dressed and she’s still not done. As for Aree she hid in her room to go read since earlier this morning. If you want to yell then go yell at them not at me.
Tongkam: Eh, I’m not yelling at you. I was just asking Im (Jeab) why do you have to be in the hot seat.
Oon: I don’t know every time something goes wrong it’s always me. So I have to be waiting in the hot seat.
Im: Oon go bring out the Bento it’s late already. I’ll go and call the little sisters.

Ann getting dressed. <3 She’s so gorgeous. A little to much make up though my dear!

Aree (Pang): That’s enough P’ Bung Orn. Your putting so much powder your face is starting to get as thick as the house’s wall. Putting all that make up on isn’t anything.
Bung Orn (Ann): What do you mean?
Aree (Pang): Everyone knows that all the young men in town are looking for P’ Im. No one will notice or acknowledge you.

Bung Orn: Something like this we wouldn’t know. If you gathered merit together in the same bowl then there’s no way you can miss each other.
Aree: Coincidentally, I am unable to remember the past. So  I’m unsure the person that you have set your sights on who that person gathered merits with.

Aree: You or P’ Im
Bung Orn: Aree!
Im: Aree, Bung Orn. What happened?
Bung Orn: It’s her. I was good by myself and she came to tick me off.
Im: You two are sisters, small issue’s here and there should be ok. Aree, if your done then go help mother. Your grown already don’t be so lazy.

Im: If your done getting dressed then hurry out.

Tongkam: Oh here it goes. When it comes to be silly no one surpasse’s Yot.

Im: P’ Yot move I’m gonna enter the temple.
Yot (Captain): Mae Im it’s a Boun (normally worship and merit gathering event) aren’t you going to sing and dance with me for a bit?
Oon: P’ Im doesn’t like it so don’t hassle her P’ Yot. For singing and dancing. Leave it to me. Come dance with me P’ Yot
Yot: Mae Oon. If I had to dance with you I rather go back home and farm.

Ying: P’ Yot, help me! P’ Yot!
Crook 1: Are you trying to run Ai Ying?
Yot: Stop first elder brother. This is a merit event

Captain will be playing the role of Yot; Yot is a well known hoodlum in the village and a brother to Ying. Yot’s life is revolved around his love for Mae Im. Once Mae Im is no longer by his side Yot becomes a wreck and ultimately falls ill. He is the love of Malai and later on Wanida, but his heart will always remain with Mae Im.

Jeab will be playing the role of Mae Im. Mae Im is the oldest daughter out of four. Mae Im is kindhearted and the balance of good between her 3 younger sisters. She is forced to marry In one of the wealthiest man in the village, but before her wedding to In she is seduced by Yot and ultimately ends up leaving with him. Im would lose Yot to black magic, but still remains loyal to him. Later on Im will become the mother of her two nephews.

Pepper will play the role of In one of the wealthiest people in the Village. In is in love with Im and tries with all his power to make her his. He hires a woman name Malai to ruin the relationship between Yot and Im. After his unsuccessful wedding to Im, In is set to marry Oon who is Im’s younger sister, but as luck would have it Oon also runs from this forced marriage. This leaves Bang Orn the daughter that is in love with In and more than happy to marry him.

Ann will be playing the role of Bang Orn. Bang Orn is the third daughter of Poo Yai Kaew and Nang Tong. She marries In as a twist of fate when her two older sisters decide to abandon their wedding to him. Although Bang Orn dedicates her love to In he fails to return her love. His neglect of her ultimately leads to Bang Orn to start up an affair with Somchai. Her affair would lead to the downfall of her life when she is pregnant by Somchai

Puri will be playing the role of Ying. Ying is the younger brother of Yot and another village hoodlum. Ying follows the woman he loves Oon after she runs from marrying In. This choice would lead many to believe that the two had elope. Ying and Oon ends up spending the night together. After Yot falls ill from his broken heart Oon dedicates her life to him and Ying who pities Oon turn to the criminal acts of being a pirate. His acts would soon lead to his death.

Pim will be playing the role of Oon. Oon is the 2nd child of Poo Yai Kaew and Nang Tong. Oon is forced to marry In after her older sister Im runs away. Oon refuses and runs away; ultimately leading people to believe she has eloped with Ying. Oon ends up taking care of Yot when he falls ill. She eventually ends up pregnant by Yot and sold into a prostitution home as a servant. Oon gives her child, “Yong Chai” to Im because she didn’t want her child to grow up in a prostitution home and call a horrible man name Chot father.

Pang will be playing the role of Aree; Aree is the youngest daughter and very ambitious in becoming the wife to a wealthy man. She runs away with Ping and the two end up having relations and thus leading to their husband and wife status. Aree later on meets Pong a Military Captain. After giving birth to her child she tries to take him with her to be with Pong, but Ping stops her. In her struggle to leave she burns down their house and takes her child. She gives her child, “Atit” to Im; then end up marrying Pong.

Num will be playing the role of Ping. Ping is a craftsman that works in Poo Yai Kaew’s house. He runs away with Aree and end up getting her pregnant. He is unaware that while Aree is pregnant she is talking to Pong behind his back. After she gives birth he is left caring for their child. When Aree is ready to leave Ping attempts to stop her leading to their house catching on fire.

Poo Yai (Village Chief) Kaew and Tongkam of Taa Narm Oi of Nakhon Sawan has 4 daughters whom are Im, Oon, Bangorn, and Aree. All four sisters hope of having a good life, but love, greed, infatuation has the power above all. It causes the four sisters to compete and bicker amongst one another to the point where their life is chaotic like they would have never imagine. Im the eldest sister is the love of Yot a hoodlum of the village. In who is the son of a wealthy man in Ta Narm Oi also desires in Im. Yot uses trickery and black magic to make Im surrender to him physically and become his. He then takes her away on the day before her marriage to In. In then announces that he will pour his entire life into getting revenge against Yot and getting Im back.

That is the beginning of all the retribution that would cause all lives to change. Oon is forced by her father to marry In in place of Im. Oon refuses and runs away from home. Ying the younger brother of Yot secretly has a crush on Oon has a crush on her and causes villagers to think that they have run off together. Oon spends her life according to fate.

Bang Orn who secretly likes is then able to marry In as she desires, but In doesn’t have the heart to love any other woman other than Im. Bang Orn is then neglected so she finds the way out by having an affair with Somchai. As for Im and Yot they are harrassed on a daily basis by In. Yin hires Malai who already likes Yot to use voodoo and black magic to captivate his heart. In the end he falls for Malai because of voodoo causing Im to be saddened and runs away from him.

As for Aree when her life has taken a different turn she runs away with Ping a craftsman who worked in the house. In the end she also physically gives herself to Ping unintentionally. Ping loves Aree deeply, but Aree is always thinking that she must escape the horrible life living with Ping. In the end sadness dawns on Aree with she is pregnant with Ping’s child; this alone causes her to have to stay with Ping.

Ying is positive that Yot is not in love with Malai and there must have been some event that caused things to be this way. Ying then returns home to Yang whom is his father and they go to seek advice from a senior monk who then advises them to quickly bring Yot to the temple and chase away all the black magic placed on him. In attempts to stop them, but is to late because the Senior Monk had already taken Yot.

Aree goes to merchant (sell stuff) and meets a captain ranked military officer. Eekpong is attracted to Aree because he is unable to tell that Aree is pregnant. When Aree see’s Eekpong she remembers her childhood dream of becoming the wife of a wealthy man. She then hides her pregnancy and the fact that she has a husband. In finds Im and tells her that Yot is cleaned from the black magic that Malai had put on him. Im is initially happy, but is saddened once again when In lies to her and tells her that Malai is pregnant with Yot’s child. Once Yot finds Im, Im denies him causing Yot to be really sad

As for Bang Orn she is still having an affair with Somchai. Iat and Aa are suspicious of Bang Orn and keep a close eye on her. Oon finds out that Malai has lied about her pregnancy. Yot quickly goes to tell Im, but Malai tells In that their plan has fallen apart. In then devises a plan for Yot to misunderstand him and Im. Yot comes and see and believes that Im has choosen In. Yot then returns to Nong Poh and has lost hope in life. He falls ills and depressed. Malai is tired of the life and leaves Yot. Bang Oon who pities Yot takes great care of him. She even finds a manual labor job cutting sugar canes to support Yot.

Ying feels sorry for Oon so he decides to find money by robbing a Shipment Ship that is passing by. The news of Shipment Ships being robbed is spreaded and In decides to double up on weapon security for his ships. No one knows that the pirate robbing the ship is in fact Ying except Ai Marn who is one of Ying’s henchmen. Im is still in love with Yot and misses him, but In continously adds fuel to the fire of how bad of a person Yot is. Regardless of his attempts Im still overlooks him because of Bang Orn.

Im goes to sell chinese deserts and lets Aree come and help her. Aree’s stomache is starting to show so she tells Pong that she is going to help her sister down south and when they get lucky and make more money she will return and she wants Pong to keep in contact through mail. One day while Ying isn’t home Yot is delusional and calling out for Im. Oon knows that she will never recieve love from Yot, but she secretly goes to him anyways because she wants to be his for one time. Ying returns home and Oon agrees to marry him and decides to forget everything that has happened.

Ying is happy and promises Oon that on the evening of the 15th of the next month they will marry. Aree writes to Pong and is assured that Ping will never know because he is unable to read, but in reality Ping is starting to put together words. He starts to get curious of who is writing to Aree. Ying wants money to buy bethrol gold for Oon and once he hears that In’s Shipment Ship will be passing. The desire for money and the anger he has towards In causes Ying to decide and Rob In’s Shipment Ship.

On the ship Ying meets with In and ends up fatally wounding In, but Ying is also fatally wounded by In. Ying takes his injured body to Oon and confesses everything to her before dying. Yot and Oon is really saddend by the event. In see’s this as an opportunity to get back at Yot. In tells the police that it is Yot who robbed him. The police then goes in search of Yot in hopes of arresting him. Maan comes and warn Yot that the police are looking for him. This causes Oon and Yot to have to flee.

In is still hurt from being attacked on the ship. Im finds out that the police is looking for Yot. She is really worried about him. She goes and see In to convince him to leave Yot alone. In tells her that in order to help Yot she must come and cater to his needs. Im has no choice but to give in to save Yot. Yot disguises himself and go to see Im. He once again see’s a heartbreaking image and runs away.

Aree gives birth before the due date and Ping is very happy, but Aree doesn’t care. All she worries about is her beauty and making herself look young like before. She leaves Ping to care for their child. Im helps Ping care for the child with a tired heart.

Oon is unable to stay at Nong Poh alone so she goes back home to her mother and father at Taa Narm Oi, but she gets into an argument with Poo Yai Kaew. The father and daughter argue aggressively and once again they decide to cut all ties from one another leading Oon to say that she will never set foot inside Poo Yai Kaew’s home ever again.

Oon has no where to go and ends up fainting. Chot comes and help her but once she wakes up to Chot he attempts to rape her and make her his wife, but Oon ends up throwing up on him. Oon goes to the hospital and it appears that she is pregnant. Oon tells Chot that the child belongs to Ying and Chot is really upset. Instead of caring for her as a wife he sells her to work as a servant for prostitutes in the house of Chatchai.

In starts to feel better and starts to take Im out places. Bang Orn goes ballistic on her and Im doesn’t want to come and mess with In anymore, but Im brings up Yot’s safety. Because she doesn’t want Yot to be in danger she is forced to be with In. Im goes and ask for news about Yot, but everyone tells her that Yot is probably a thief, but in reality Yot has changed his name to Seua and works at Song’s Rice Mill. Yot lives with his friend Saen, because Yot is hard working Wanida the daughter of Song secretly starts to like Yot, but Yot doesn’t care for her. Dam the manager of the workers is jealous of Yot because Dam is secretly in love with Wanida. Dam then tries to get rid of Yot. Saen then introduce Yot to Ping, but Yot doesn’t know that Ping is Aree’s husband.

Someone saw Oon in the prostitution house and the news travelled to Poo Yai Kaew. Poo Yai Kaew then passes out one more time, but this time his condition is severe. Im decides to go back home and take care of her ill father. Because Im is no longer there Aree has a date to meet with Pong in Bangkok. On the night that Aree attempts to take her child with her to Bangkok Ping catches her and tries to stop her. The two argue aggressively and even resort to fighting physically. This causes the house to get burned. Aree is then able to leave with their child. Ping cries to his heart content because of his child. Once the fire dies down no one is able to find the body of Ping. Ping had simply vanished.

Aree takes her son to let Im take care of and consider her own child. The Lead Monk names her child, “Atit” Aree then leaves. Bang Orn is caught by Iat Aa that she is seeing someone else. Iiat and Aa tells In, but have no proof. In isn’t jealous but see’s it as opportunity to divorce her once he has proof. he then sends Nor to go and follow her. Wanida takes good care of Yot causing Dam to be even more envious. Dam then hurts Yot but ends up losing. Dam is then vengeful towards Yot. Im hears that someone saw Yot at Song’s rice mill and goes to find him, but Wanida tells her that there is no one by the name of Yot there. Im is then sadened and loses hope. In her heart she still secretly loves and wait for Yot faithfully.

Oon very pregnant works in the prostitution home and all the money she makes is taken by Chot. The most she could do is keep the anger in her heart. While the ship is shipping the rice to Bangkok Dam takes the chance to hurt Yot. Yot falls into the water and everyone believes that he is dead. Saen tells Im that Yot is dead and Im is really sad. Oon finds that Yot is dead and has her baby that very night.

Oon brings her newborn child to Im and asks her to care for the child because she doesn’t want her child to grow up in a prostitution home and call someone like Chot father. Im accepts the child with open arms. The Lead Monk names the child Yongchai. In see’s that Yot is dead and asks Im to marry him, but Im tells him that she’ll never take him from Bang Orn. In then tells Im that soon Bang Orn and himself will separate. Im is shocked and asks why. In then tells her that one day she’ll find out.

Bang Orn has the symptoms of a pregnant person and tries to hide it from Iat and Aa, but she is unable to do so. Bang Orn secretly goes to talk to Somchai and Somchai tells her to use abortion medicine. Bang Orn is about to hurt the child when In bursts in and exposes her and her pregnancy is the lovechild from her affair.

The news of Bang Orn being pregnant with another man other than her husband is like the final needle in Poo Yai Kaew’s illness. His condition worsens and in the end Im has to call all of her sisters back to be with their father in his final moments. Aree returns with Pong as her new husband. Bang Orn comes pregnant without a baby’s father. Oon returns as a woman who works at night in a battered condition. Poo Yai Kaew forgives his daughters who ask for his forgiveness one last time before he dies.

Tongkam separates the last pieces of treasure that she had and her husband hand. She gives many buddha amulets to Oon, but Oon refuses and wants her father gun instead. Im is surprised and asks Oon what she needs the gun for. Oon tells her that it’s to change her life. Oon takes the gun and tries to shoot Chot, but misses and Chot doesn’t die. Chatchai comes and see and tells Oon that even if Chot dies she will not be free because Chot sold her for a great amount of money. Oon says that she is willing to work of the debt as long as dies. Chatchai makes Oon promise that she will work for him for 20 years. She accepts and then watch Chatchai kill Chot harshly. Bang Orn is able to make Somchai marry her. After their marriage shortly after Bang Orn has a miscarriage. In proposes to Im once again, but she refuses because she wants to spend her life raising Atit and Yongchai so that their life will not be a mistake like their mother’s lives. In is really sad and decides to get ordained for life.

Ann Alicha, Pang Ornjira, and Puri Hiranprik doesn’t hold grudges with the past love triangle. It’s been along time already and they are happy to be working with one another.

Come to meet again for the love triangle “Ann Alicha Laisatruglai, Puri Hiranprik,” and ex lover Pang Ornjira Laemwilai that most recently have to come and meet again with all three there in the lakorn, “Ching Chang” Ann and Pang have to accept the role of blood sisters. The 5th that just passed was the opening ceremony for the lakorn Ching Chang that was held all the way in Ayutaya. Reporters had the chance to meet up with the 3 and was not hesitant in interviewing them about their feelings on working together in this lakorn. The young leading actor says that there is nothing and it’s fun filming this lakorn because they are able to act with many others

“It’s normal there is nothing really. In this lakorn everyone has to come and see each other in front of the camera anyway. As for Ann and Pang they are really close because they have to play as sisters. Working together isn’t hard at all. We’re all happy to be in this lakorn.”

As for present girlfriend “Ann Alicha” she was able to talk about her feelings that,

“There is nothing really. There is no one that we’re not close too. It’s fun to be working with many people.”

As for Puri’s former sweetheart she was able to express her feelings for coming to work with her ex lover and his former girlfriend and says that she feels nothing. Everything has passed for a long time already to the point where now everyone is good friends.

“There isn’t anything like P’ Puri we did see each other before this. This has been so long already we are all good friends now.”

It is the story of the 5 daughters of Poo Yai Kaew which each uses their heart to guide their lives to the point where they make mistakes that are hard to reach
In the young adulthood that constantly changes the issues that follow each girls are problems that they must correct differently in the antipathy of each other the hearts issues are less than the love towards each others as older and younger sisters.

It is a work that expresses the human desires, lust and the love of older and younger sisters
This work had started writing since the year 2543-2548 (2000-2005) because it is from the real stories that have been told to me
The set of the lakorn is a real place it’s at the Nam Oi water village in Prabrang Luerng (Yellow Stupa) in the district of Payuhakiri Nakorn Sawan
It’s the type of lakorn that is look toong and countryside tragic similar to Plae Gao it’s a 2 generation story from the mother generation and the children generation (that ends in 2522 (1979))
Present Day The Exact Company bought the fiction Ching Chung to create into a lakorn and we will probably get to see the work in the year 2552 (2009).
There are many characters in the lakorn..but the writer has equally distributed roles to the characters in the story.
Tityot is brave enough to play with love for Mae Im even though his ways are filled with wrong he does everything to get the woman he loves to be his without caring if it is a filthy way. As long as he is able to prove his love for Mae Im. The consequences from this and the time he will prove his love will be a long road.. and in the end what he recieves is what everyone least expects
Another one of the characters is Tityat who also gives his undying love to only one woman and once he doesn’t get her the person that is disappointed he is able to lose and able to desire to have it in his posession.
I like characters like Tit In who is charming and bad in a shell but calm. The type that will do anything to get what he desires in love.
The path in love that Tit In chooses to walk the writer has given him a path of intelligence
Mae Im the young woman who is the reason for all the love who holds the heart of two men in the palm of her hands. She spends her life knowing wrong and rights.. She is the person who decides the fate of the two men and also writes her own path into something beautiful
I like that the writer has let Mae Im start from a small spot
In the average things there are non average things as long as there is determination and a strong struggle and faithfulness to what you desire then it is enough for many people to pick up and give themselves motivation.
Another character who is the light of the story no less than the other characters if you think about it if it is missing Mae Ornsak then Ching Charng wouldn’t be complete. The writer described the life of the 5 sisters in the right spot.
The writer shows that between good and evil, black and white, gold and lead these things with the flip of a hand life can change in an instant. It depends on which side we decide to flip it too.
Good and Evil we choose ourselves even if we can’t choose where to be born. These are two characters that are given as an example.
Another story the writer also interfere into the teachings of dharma very sleekly, witty without feeling pressurized. At the same time if you think with it it allows you to see things more clearly. (this depends on how you see it)
Like,
“A wealthy person is not hard to become as long as you know when is enough then you are rich already.”
This thinking about it it’s not just being rich of money and gold it also includes being rich of the spirit and kindess.
Another Point,
“The giver is already difficult and the person who recieves already to return to the giver is even harder.”
This clause is to think of in the way where to give without wanting anything in return.
And once we get here I thought about what the writer wrote in the headline at the board
“What is the significance of life.” and tells us that we are able to find the answer in Ching Charng
It’s like that really.
There are also other characters that we can talk about and are able to create life to the story each and every one of them. Call it sour, sweet, oily, salty there is every flavor
The writer gave every character ever ten’s of lives in the story equal roles at perfect amount
